Binding those Scallops

Sewing is so relaxing - but not this sewing.
It took a bit to figure out how to do the scalloped edge.
It was just a bit more of a struggle to do all the curves and indentations for the scallops.

Now for the more relaxing part - the hand sewing.
I sewed it to the back of the quilt first - as the back is Minky.

I just want to sit on the couch,
watch a good movie and sew this baby down.

Happy Stitching,

  1. It's looking good: you used bias, right? I hope you get to watch a really good movie. :-) Hugs, H

  2. Looking good. I did a scalloped wall hanging a couple of years ago, and got help from a friend. She had me mark the scallops on the border and sew along the markings. Trimmed afterwards. It worked pretty well.

  3. Scallops are a little bit fiddly, but so worth the effort. Keep on stitching!

  4. You're a brave woman, Linda. I can't wait to see this one, I love it!

  5. I love scallops--though I forget to do them on a quilt anymore--hummm????
can't wait to see yours finished-happy stitching-
    enjoy the moments, di

  6. Ooo scallops look...interesting to do! Hope you enjoyed your film and handstitching x
