Do you ever have those days where you just don't sew? When Sandra Kaye posted her "Get em Done" link I realized it hasn't been days - but a MONTH since I've sewn.
My how time flies!
I thought - if I just had white thread in my machine, at least I would be moving in the right direction.
Done. Now that's a good start.
Then I selected a geese on the quilt and quilted my very first feather design on a quilt.
Yay!! I think that looks good enough.
(Don't worry about not seeing it that clearly - it's not that great. LOL!)

Then I did the next one up. Hot Doggie, that one turned out okay too!
And then I quit. LOL! It is a nice solid start to getting this quilted.
Oh, and then I realized, I had started from the bottom of the quilt instead of the middle.
Oh Dear! What wrong with me?
Feel free to head on over and link up with Sandra. Show off what you have accomplished.
Happy Stitching,
Nicey Linda
Hi Linda! When I looked at your feather quilting I really truly said, "WOW", right out loud. It is great! Maybe I will actually try one also!
ReplyDeleteYou're speaking my language. A lot of times I get in a "rut" if I have the wrong thread in my machine. Just changing it can make a world of difference and I get right to task and feel great!
ReplyDeleteYour feathers look great!!!!
Well, I did a bit of hand-stitching last night - does that count??? It's been awhile for the machine! LOVE your quilting, what a darling design. How is your quilt basted? If you pinned, and it's pinned well, you can start anywhere, it won't matter.
ReplyDeleteThat is all it takes sometimes one foot in front of the other. Thanks for the shout out!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilting looks great. FMQ is something I have never been able to master, no matter how hard I tried.
