February's OMG

My OMG for February is another one of Val Laird's blocks.
I've already started on it.
I'm looking forward to working on this. The blocks are so fun. But...I'm wondering what will I do with them when I finish.  Make a wall hanging that I don't really have a place to hang? A small quilt that I don't need?  Or I was thinking of making some pillows - but I don't need this many pillows.

Although if you ask Marzipan I most certainly do need more pillows.

This is Marzipan this morning.
 Oooh...comfy pillows!
Well, let me find a better spot.
No - not really as comfy as I thought. Let me move them around.
 There - this will do.
Uh - Oh.  I didn't know you were looking!
Well - you didn't scold me so I'm here to stay.  Now get busy and make more pillows!

Then I was thinking maybe I could make the pillows and divide them among my sisters - or daughters.

First things First - Make the blocks!

Happy Stitching and Pillow Fluffing,
Linda

  2. I'm sure you'l come up with the perfect solution. I made a wall hanging with her designs one year, but you can only use so many wall hangings. Keep up the good work.

  3. Decisions decisions!! Often hard to know what to do with our blocks but like Sunny said, you'll think of what to make.

  4. Good luck with your goal this month. It will be a delightful block. Your little Marzipan looks such the scamp in her (or his?) search for comfort amongst the pillows. They do love comfort, don't they?

  5. I think your pretty embroideries would make beautiful pillows for gifts. Your Marzipan is so very sweet. Now that is the look of one very guilty puppy.

  6. Darling pieces you are making Linda! I know what you mean about starting projects and then wondering WHAT I will do with them when finished. If in doubt, they always make good gifts, even though it is hard to part with something you worked so hard on! I have just recently taken a paper piecing class, and I am having fun working with that technique making some blocks. Now, I have to figure out WHAT to do with the blocks, ha! I am thinking a table topper, possibly. Oh these projects! And that darling little Marzipan, love the pictures and captions :) Blessings and hugs!
