Poor Little Fingers - Working to the Bone (Civil War Quilt)

While at my friendship quilt meeting, the Sewful Sisters, I decided that I'm going to get this Civil War top pieced before the next meeting. (Great goal, right?)
I've spent all my free time working on it.  (Housework? - Ain't got no time for that!) My fingers have been busy, cutting, pressing and sewing.  I timed myself and one border took 3 hours for me to sew using my sewing machine. (Okay I admit I'm slow.)  This morning before work I sewed another side border on.
Yes!!  It's coming along nicely. Two sides on and two to go. I think I'll have it pieced before Tuesday night's meeting.

I've also been busy getting our taxes ready, and planning a trip to Kaui - for our 21st Anniversary.  (Remember we missed our 20th because our grandbaby, Lily was born.)

Happy Stitching,

  1. I'm sorry about your fingers, but that is an awesome quilt!! When is your trip?

  2. That quilt will be worth every sore finger, it looks lovely.

  3. Oh my gosh that is just gorgeous. And how awesome your trip sounds - woohoo!!!
