Friday Night Sew-in

Did you know it's that time again?  Friday Night Sew-in time!  That's tonight!  I love Friday Night Sew-in knowing that others are sewing with me.
I have high hopes of doing more quilting on Mark's Flying Geese Quilt.  I'm very please to say that last night I completed all the foundation quilting of the gold triangle (YEA!!!)   So that means tonight is FUN night with some free-motion quilting.  I love the meandering care-free quilting that I'll able to do.

I also found this fabric at Walmart.
It was on sale for $2.50 a yard.  I wanted something cheap to try making a blouse out of.  This fabric will do - and then if I like sewing the pattern and the way it fits on me, I won't mind spending more for better quality fabric.  Fabric that doesn't wrinkle like this stuff!  Who wants to iron? Not me!

Okay so I hope to be posting some pictures tonight of Mark quilt with more quilting on it!

Happy Friday Stitching,
Nicey Linda

  2. I like your fabric choice. Ironing - not so much! Can't wait to see what all you get done tonight.

  3. I like the nautical fabric! My daughter's school theme is Sailors! I agree about the ironing! I won't iron my own clothes, but I do the kids, if their clothes need it. :)

  4. Great idea to try out the pattern with fabric that is so reasonably priced. I will have to follow your lead on that sometime!
