Framed Snowflake & Midnight Mystery Fabric

My center block - put on point with a 1/4 flange and small border.  Measures 25 1/2".

So does Sophie (of Sophie Junction) know what she is talking about?

YES!!

How did she know that?  I know she's great at this quilting stuff, but still how did she know?

Thanks Sophie for the suggestion!

What do you think of these fabrics?  I really wanted to do this mystery quilt along.  On Sunday I saw and fell in love with these fabrics. So I bought them for this. I'm wondering if that directional fabric will be make me sorry.

All the fabric is washed and ironed.  It took forever to rinse the extra dye from that black.  It's worth it.

Okay - check back later.  I have to get sewing and catch up on the quilt along.

Happy Stitching,
Nicey Linda

  1. What a sweet compliment, but let's chalk it up to a lucky guess. I'm pretty good at asking the "what if ..." questions that sometimes lead to good design. Love the addition of the skinny flange–can't wait to see the rest of the quilt.

  4. I have the utmost and highest respect for quilters who can make blocks with such tiny pieces, and this one is no exception!

I really like your fabric pull. It's hard to tell if the directional fabric would give you a fit without seeing the pattern, but in any case, this fabric is asking to be made into something!
