Dying shorts and Cute Cows

I have a couple things to share with you.  


My daughter and her friend have been taking their old jeans, cutting them off to be shorts and then dying them.

Okay, so maybe red wasn't the best background for these shorts.  But aren't they cute? I really don't know how they did them as I was sleeping.  They did them at 1:00 in the morning by the back porch light.  Yes, cause that how kids are.  They also left them drying right outside the door where you had to walk on them to get out the door.  Yes, cause that's how kids are.  Personally I'm just happy they are being creative.  


Now, the other thing I want to tell you is that today Chick-Fil-A is having "Cow Day".  They probably call it something else. I really don't know the name, so I made one up.  If you dress like a cow you get a free meal.  It was so much fun.  Here's part of my family. And yes I dressed up a bit - I wore head band with cow ears and horns.  (I'm not in the picture).

It was so much fun to walk in and have three cows (grandchildren) rush me and give me cow hugs.  There were many other customers dressed up too.  What a fun lunch!

In the meanwhile, my quilting books have come in and I'm still practicing drawing my feathers as I read them.
