I decided to start this blog to share what I do with all those little bits and pieces of fabric that I cut up. There have been times as I'm cutting that I think "How silly to cut all this up and sew it back together."
We have Kelly at Charming Chatter to thank for this blog. She started the Charming Girls and Guys Quilt Club. We share our projects for the month. It's so inspiring to see what everyone has done. And in the past I've been able to finish up a couple UFO so it has been a real kick in the pants for me.
Okay so here is one of my finishes for March. A little flannel dress for Violet. (Not the best picture as it is taken with my phone. And probably not the cutest dress made either - but what the hey - I'll still share it with you. )
Violet's favorite thing is to run around singing "Princesses All Day."
I've always loved sewing. I remember being about 4 sitting on floor hand stitching doll dresses, while my mother sewed on her sewing machine. I couldn't wait to be big enough to use the sewing machine! Now I work full time and try to sew daily, but other fun stuff gets in the way. You know, like swimming and camping. Sometimes reading or watching movies. Grandkids, BBQ's, walking the dogs. You get the picture.
